Marcin Has Passed Away

On November 22, 2024, my cousin Marcin—who was like a brother to me—lost his battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer and passed away peacefully at home. Losing him has left a void in my heart that will never truly heal.

We gave him his best chance, and he inspired so many of us with his strength, resilience, and love for life.

Against all odds, Marcin fought with unmatched courage and determination. When he was first diagnosed with a butterfly glioblastoma brain tumor, doctors gave him only two months to live. Refusing to accept that fate, we embarked on an exhaustive fight to defeat this disease. Through incredible support, we found the information and resources that helped Marcin defy grim survival odds.

However, in the past two months, everything changed. While Marcin had begun to regain strength, the cancer returned suddenly and with devastating force. It progressed rapidly and relentlessly, despite every possible treatment. It was a dark and heartbreaking turn during this difficult journey.

We tried so hard, and because of those who helped, we were able to give Marcin the greatest gift anyone could receive: TIME.

God blessed him with nine precious months—time with his 8-year-old daughter, his loving wife, family, and friends. Time to create more beautiful memories and to feel the unwavering support of those he loved most. This gift of time was invaluable, and we will cherish it forever.

Though Marcin’s battle has ended, his story is far from over. The lessons we learned, the paths we explored, and the breakthroughs we achieved will undoubtedly help others in the fight against brain cancer. While nine months may seem brief, considering the late stage and aggressive nature of his illness, it was nothing short of miraculous to surpass the two-month prognosis.

Those who face this disease in the future will benefit from Marcin’s journey and the insights gained along the way. On behalf of our entire family, we sincerely thank everyone who prayed, contributed, shared, supported, or walked with us. Whenever I told Marcin how many people had rallied around him with love and generosity, it brought him to tears of joy and disbelief.

Now, he is with God, watching over us.
